Our Thrift Stores are blessed with a dedicated and faithful team of staff and volunteers. Volunteers are very important to the thrift stores as they help us add more hours to the day as they work alongside staff to serve.

We are delighted to honour both our volunteers and staff who together earned the 2011 Mayor’s Environmental Achievement Award for most dedicated group. The “most dedicated” distinction exemplifies the attitude of our team as they work diligently each day to reduce our community’s carbon footprint.

Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote everyday about the kind of community you want to live in.” – Marjorie Moore
